ABOUT

Stephen Chang (he, him) is the founder and lead consultant for Credible Change. He brings decades of experience in leadership development, complex systems change and community engagement to support our clients and partners. As a former managing director for the National Equity Project, he supported organizations, school districts, non-profits, initiatives and foundations to understand the dynamics of racism and other inequities, and to develop their will-knowledge-skill-capacity-empathy to reimagine their systems while authentically partnering with the communities they serve, especially those most negatively impacted by the status quo.

Stephen has worked with a wide range of organizations and communities across the United States as a partner, coach, bridge builder and catalyst. Much of that work has centered on supporting leaders to translate their concerns and goals into effective strategy, learning, practice and relationships. He began his career in education as a high school counselor in Berkeley, California and more recently served as a high school and middle school administrator in Denver, Colorado. He received his B.S in Psychology from Cornell University, studied Educational Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University and earned his M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Stephen lives in Denver, Colorado.
